The Foils of Photography: Utility and Art

The International Center of Photography hosts two contrasting exhibits, both on display until September 7. 'Bill Wood's Business' provides a photographic record of life in Fort Worth, Texas, from the Great Depression through the post-World War II boom years. 'Heavy Light: Recent Photography and Video from Japan' presents the work of a new generation of Japanese artists responding to tensions in Japanese society. (See related article.)
